The RECARO RSS is the latest evolution of RECARO's full-bucket seating concept, developed as the successor to the highly regarded RS-G. It is designed around the demands of performance-focused street driving while retaining the support and driver-focused feel expected from a RECARO motorsport seat.
The RSS combines a modern RECARO racing-shell design with a focus on driving position, support and everyday usability. Its integrated headrest adopts the design language of RECARO's latest racing shells, giving the seat a distinctive motorsport appearance while maintaining the functionality required for street performance vehicles.
RECARO has also increased the rigidity of the RSS compared with the RS-G, with the shell achieving a rigidity level corresponding to the FIA 8855-1999 safety standard, although the RSS itself is not officially FIA homologated.
Designed Around the Driver
One of the key features of the RSS is its focus on achieving the right driving position. The seat has been developed to provide greater flexibility in seating position and installation, making it suitable for a wide range of performance vehicles and cockpit layouts.
For drivers requiring additional room, RECARO also offers a Large version, providing approximately 40 mm additional width around the pelvis area compared with the standard version.
The RSS is available in different upholstery combinations, including Kamui and Brilliant Mesh, as well as Artificial Leather and Ultra Suede, allowing the seat to suit everything from a dedicated track build to a high-end street performance car.
